So I figure that since I worked all day so I wasn’t able to get any painting done, I’ll give you a model from my past I’ve painted to tide you over.
Pappa Nurgle, has been one of my favorite models to paint. It’s like a really gross pox infested canvas. All the little details such as the nurgling hand reaching out of the guts it’s a fantastic model. I painted this up with a base coat of catachan green and started highlighting up to camo green. the sores and missing chunks of flesh were done with a mix of dark flesh and scab red that was washed with devlan mud. When ever I paint nurgle models I find it appropriate to do the eyes up in a nice yellow and this model was no different. I’ve seen a lot of models do the eyes in standard white, I just feel it doesn’t fit the theme. The guts were painted with warlock purple up to tentacle pink. There was of course a decent amount of ‘Ard Coat used as well.
That’s about all I can remember about how I painted this model. I finished it over 2 years ago, and actually have long since sold it along with what was the rest of my nurgle army. Kinda wish I hadn’t but, I needed the money at the time I’m sure. Coincidentally it’s for sale on ebay currently. Listed as “Professionally Painted” so that was kinda flattering. Granted the guy said it was painted with Vallejo which is a total lie considering I didn’t even own any vallejo when I painted that model but, whatch gonna do?
Anyways, enjoy!
